Exploring our grief through art with Kathleen Buday

Connecting through Creativity

Connect with others who have experienced a loss. During times of grief, one may feel disconnected and uncertain. Participants will explore ways to use the creative process as a means to communicate feelings, and build awareness. You be will guided through a simple expressive activity that invites connection and conversation.

Together we will observe, create, discuss, and reflect. Don’t feel like creating? No problem—join for the community and conversation. No previous art experience required.

Participants will need:

  • Large piece of paper (11″ x 14″ or larger)
  • Assorted pieces of colored or recycled paper (such as flyers, newspaper, magazines, wrapping paper — a variety of colors and textures, but any paper will work!)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or glue
  • Colored media like crayons, oil pastels, markers, pencils, etc.

… and a comfortable, quiet space.

This workshop is FREE to attend but registration is required. A Zoom link will be sent once you register. This is not a therapy session. This is a safe space for those grieving to explore another avenue to release, be curious about, and sit with their grief through art.
