Exploring our grief through art with Kathleen Buday

Mending through Metaphor

Expand your awareness and response to grief using nature and creativity. Prior to the workshop, participants are asked to mindfully collect natural and found objects. Together, we will metaphorically express personal ideas, thoughts, and emotions by using our gathered objects and materials.

The benefits of creating and sharing within a group provides personal and collective healing. All are welcome, from no art experience to the seasoned artist.

Participants will need:

  • Paper plate (dinner-sized) or cardboard circle (12” diameter or larger)
  • Natural objects gathered (lighter objects that are easily glued are best)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Optional: Mixed media (paint, fabric, markers, oil pastels, ribbon, etc.)

… and a comfortable, quiet space.

This workshop is FREE to attend but registration is required. A Zoom link will be sent once you register. This is not a therapy session. This is a safe space for those grieving to explore another avenue to release, be curious about, and sit with their grief through art.
