GrieveWell has hosted a family-friendly Kite Festival event during the summer since 2017. This event is free to the public and provides an opportunity for all participants to enjoy the whimsy and fun of kite flying and an afternoon outdoors.
GrieveWell Kite Festival
The GrieveWell Kite Festival will take place rain or shine. However, we will reschedule or cancel if thunderstorms and high winds make kite flying dangerous.

GRIEVEWELL FLY & REMEMBER EVENT
The GrieveWell Fly & Remember memorial event is offered in conjunction with the festival in partnership with Arbor Hospice and Ele’s Place. The memorial event includes readings and activities that encourage participants to honor and remember their loved one(s), to decorate a kite commemorating them, and to share their memories of their loved one with others. Participants in the Fly & Remember event must pre-register in order to participate.

PAST KITE FESTIVALS
Past Kite Festivals have featured dancing kite shows by professional kite flyers, plenty of space for individual kite flying, family fun activities hosted by community partners and vendors providing food and beverage for purchase. Donations from vendors and attendees also help support the event.
VOLUNTEER WITH US
Volunteers are welcome and help us create a supportive and fun atmosphere. Tasks include building the flyers before the event, event set-up and being onsite to direct traffic.
