2026 Kite Festival
On Saturday, June 20th, 2026, from 1-4 pm GrieveWell will host Ann Arbor’s only kite festival at Lillie Park. Register for the event in advance to assure yourself a parking spot and expedited entry to the event.
Join us this year as we celebrate the joy of the outdoors and the whimsy of kites. While early registration is encouraged, all are welcome, and you will be able to register on site as well.
Fly and Remember Memorial
Before the Kite Festival on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, from 12-1 pm, join us for an in-person Fly and Remember Memorial Service hosted in partnership with GrieveWell, Arbor Hospice, and Ele’s Place.
Participants will build and decorate a kite in memory of a loved one, engage in featured readings from special guests, and share memories during a pre-festival event at Lillie Park in Ann Arbor.

We are excited to bring the joy and whimsy of kites to our community this year and urge you to join in! Bathrooms will be available. Bring water and a folding chair or blanket, and sit back and enjoy the beauty of the kites.

GrieveWell | We will offer our memory kite kits to color and hang on a window or our memory wall, some fun giveaways, and a limited supply of Frustrationless Flyers, plus items for purchase and other ways to support our work.
